I like rez powwows that are close to an urban area. Snow Mountain powwow outside of Las Vegas and Oneida powwow outside of Green Bay, Wisc. are prime examples. There is all the openness of the rez with all the comforts of the city.

I prefer Rez powwows. City powwows might be convenient, but only if you live in the city and there is lots of parking, but then again they like to charge admission, you get more new-agey types as guests, lots more "non-powwow" type sideshows, etc.
I like the down-home rez-style powwows for sure. |

Me being as I am Me. I believe I'd like both. Comparing one to the other seems counterproductive. I would think there are several benefits to each, as posted above. In my life I've only been on the brink of 1 Pow wow. but it never materilized, for me.I still look forward to the time when I can achieve a powwow as a visitor, traveler, and studyier of same. I like to study things out. Fault finding if you please. It is a habit and need I have cultivated, all throughout, my adult life. It won't go away for me. There seems always in this life something to find fault with. So as I plod my path these faults always seem to jump out at me. I do like these arrangements. "Seek, and you shall find" from the Good Book, but I have been called down about this phrase before.!! So I still plod this path, and find the faults as it appears, to be measured, by my measure. What better thing can one as myself do?? GES
