I read this thread and its a bit old but it still applies to those of you that have giveaways coming up!

I have one, small baskets with little candies and mints and a 10,20 or 30 dollar gas cards depending on who it is going to!
IN this day and age it would be most appreciated!

Ok folks please keep the ideas coming. I thought I would have a little more time to prepare for my older son's first powwow, like after I finished school and had a job. NOOOOO, before going to my last powwow by myself, he said "Go powwow?"

So I need some nice gifts that are really affordable. Like the ideas of making the items yourself, show that you really care and appreciate the person.

If this helps I gave away a car. It needed work but it's a nice car. Even the air conditioning worked. It needs a fuel line. The car will be hauled off by a flat bed, repaired, then sent to the native family in need. They should have it soon.

Anyway---------- how about giving away 2-paks of 60 watt light bulbs. I do this at give-a-ways all the time. People need and use them. It seems to me that when a light bulb goes out, it's always at the wrong time. You go to the closet to get another only finding an empty box. Then you remember that there is a new 2-pak in the trunk of the car because you picked it up at a give-a-way. "See the Light?"

I got a first aid kit once, the big kind with everything in it. It came in really handy with all my kids....

I once got a clear plastic bag and filled it with:

Soap
Shampoo
Toothpaste and toothbrush
A washcloth
Mouthrinse
Comb
Brush and
a roll of toilet paper.

I was speaking for the honoree so when I called a certain person up to receive this gift, I told him>

"Here's something that will help you clean up your act!"
