The Man in My Dreams

They told me it was
IMPOSSIBLE
Said I’d never find him
“You’re asking too much”:

A man that loves deep,
Feels deep,
Thinks deep,
Prays hard.

A man that could be
Both teammate and friend
A man of great passions
In his soul deep within.

Gentle but strong,
Smart and funny too.
Loves to love,
Loves to be loved.

Your words touch my heart
And they warm my soul
You shine so bright,
Maybe you might
Be the light
At the end of my tunnel.

If not I'm not sad
I have been richly blessed
Knowing you
Has kept my dream alive.
This man does exist....
There are more people like me
And I am not alone.

This is very good on a couple of diffierent levels. As pure poetry, it works really well to convey the message, and the ending is sweet and beautiful. As a practical matter, it works to tell a man what a woman is looking for in a man without directly threatening him (you know how they can be

). Have you had it published anywhere? Can I use it sometime? Will you pm me a copy with your copyright notice on it? There's one guy in particular who needs to hear it....

yes, there are men like this in our world...i didn't think so either, but its true and they look for the kind of woman who has the same character and strength....like attracts like? great emotion, being an english major and educator...i love it.
