I have a special friend,
who is always there.
We’ve shared so many things,
pain, sorrow, laughter and tears.
We’ve went swimming in the oceans
and dreamed of mermaids
and mermen.
We’ve climbed the mountains high,
and watched the sun,
set and rise.
We’ve marveled at the beauty
of the different colors,
over the oceans
and in the skies.

We’ve walked along the beaches,
hand in hand and
arm in arm.
Many times we’ve held each other close
and talked about our
dreams and hopes.
We’ve taken vacations,
in the cab of an
eighteen wheeler.
We’ve laid beside each other
in the sleeper.

We’ve made slow passionate love,
and held each other so close
that we felt almost as one.
We’ve made love on the sand
by the ocean.
In the mountains
by a lake.
In the sleeper
of a truck
and
On the ocean
in a boat.

We’ve talked about the tragedy
that hit so very close to home.
And cried for so very many people
most of who are unknown.
We’ve talked about our pasts,
and of growing up.
Of the good times
and the bad.

We’ve had some disagreements
as all people do.
But they never really last,
as we don’t want them to.
All the different things
we do and say
Just brings us closer to each other
everyday.

We’ve shared so many things you see
of hopes and dreams
and reality.
We’ve touched each others
hearts and souls and minds.
But never once
have we touched in time.
We’ve done all these things
you see.
Yet we’ve never really met,
my friend and me.
