My Walk to the Sunrise

I hear the creek,it sounds like a highway
with constant traffic.

The birds in the distance have a quartet
going;it sounds wonderful.

The far-off dog likes it too;so it joins in.

Then a symphony rose from the trees
and brush.

The sky became a brilliant display of
pinks,blues,and purples.

A turkey joined the symphony by rustling
leaves and clucking.

A rabbit came out to dance in the leaves
to the sounds of the symphony.

Then the sky turned yellow and orange.
The Sun is peeking over the mountains.

My stay in the woods is almost over;the birds
are losing players one at a time.
Soon it will be over.
