Sweet pain in my heart
fringe flash before my eyes
slow and steady in the start
sounds of song the singers cry

I can't move from my seat
captivated by his moves
I can almost feel his body heat
breathless but still he flows
around the circle he goes

As the beat gets fast
He imitates the grass
shaking and bending-taking up space
mastering the steps of our native race

Then when the drum slows
he knows where to stop
I STAND UP IN MY SPOT
No one else has a chance

He wins my love-when I watch him dance.
