Crow style double beat - womens tradish

Any Crow women out there?

This style of song was or may be still is the latest dance to reach competitive levels at powwows nationwide.
Seems like a lotta AD's or Head judges were requesting this style of song for a second song for the womens tradish category. Round dance is the most obvious choice for a second song.

But, people move around and Crow women are appearing at many powwows other than tradional Crow territory and ,to me, it shows respect that the second song be a double beat. The outfit is very obvious and any knowledgable head official should be able to recognize this.

But.... would it be proper to have a double beat sung if there are no Crow women in attendance?

Aapaywasay is an unknown quantity at this point
Would the duck and dive be appropiate also.

I cannot speak on behalf of the crow, but powwow has really changed in many ways. I remember the chicken dance being sung constantly for grass, when there were just a handful of chicken dancers nation wide. Southern men fancy dance songs being sung for northern fancy dancers, when there wasn't a southern dancer for miles away. So personally, I don't know if it were to be wrong or right. Good question!!
We have to remember that powwow is a celebration of life and not a ceremony. Tribes introduce certain dances, these dances should not be introduced if they are not to be used, other then ceremony.
But, still a good question!!!!!I hope your question gets answered, inquiring minds want to know.
