My favorite Lakota Old Style Traditional Dancer is of course my brother Chris Eagle Hawk, Jr and husband, David Lee. Other Lakota Old Style traditional dancers are: Hawk Thunder Hawk, Bruce LeClair, Terry Fiddler, JR LaPlante, A.C. No Braid.
When these guys dance you can tell they enjoy dancing and it is an enjoyment to see them dance. These guys are out there dancing every intertribal and to any kind of drum. Keep the Lakota Old style going!!

Full-time participation ... that's what we all should be seeing, doing and living. Kudos to these guys.

That is right....I dance traditional whether they pay me or not and most every song unless it is a real bad song.
I dance just to have a blast like a prairie chicken....

You can always tell the money guys who have six eagles in their bustles and is big enough for a satellite dish for TV reception...dance a lackluster grand entry and walk off saving all their "stuff" for the one or two contest songs to score the $2000 or whatever.

Traditional people like I know and do dance just for the fun and joy of it...besides it is great exercise....and my bustle is small like a mess bustle....will not get attention of starry eye-ed judges for the big outfits. Word of advise...don't get behind one of these guys in grand entry...their bustles swing like sails on an old schooner....hehehe....slap you in face.

Favorite Traditional Dancer...hmmm.

Terry Fiddler as far as I can suppose.

Tim Eashappie is definately my fav...who do you think Kevin had to try to copy and then out do. TJ dances every song ...hard. Too bad he's now a tribal council member and can't get out to dance as much.

My favorite Lakota old style traditional dancers are:

Chris Eagle Hawk, Jr.

Hawk Thunder Hawk

JR LaPlante

Terry Fiddler

A.C No Braid

M.J Bull Bear

These guys dance to all songs and enjoy themselves on the dance floor. Their style is simple without being flashy and they make you want to get up and dance.
