Which reminds me...

At the pow-wow this past weekend I was sharing an EZ up with some folks and there were some nonNDNs. We had one Crow Style dancer (not that good a one either) and they sure wanted to know about him! Why was he wearing that shiny spandex tights and shirt! I had to give a quick lesson in 'style' without boring the other folks sitting around.... This guys spandex was bright red--he looked like a little devil! I guess if he'd been a bit more muscular like Leon I would have swooned, but this guy just made me giggle. Some guys can get away with a Crow apron, cape, bag and spandex and some CAN'T!

I saw him at Samson Cree Nation pow-wow at the end of July where he was the Head Dancer. He had his picture taken (close up) which was printed in the local paper in our neighboring community. He said it takes him two hours to apply his paint (the checkerboard pattern). It's an awesome pic, and now it's my wallpaper!:D

Don Caplin..Mikmaq from Quebec..Not so much for his style or outfit, but more for his sharing, courtesy, humor and good vibes...

I like any traditional dancer who dances old style northern traditional without all that fancy, dancy, prancy stuff i.e. clown face paint, black & white feather overkill & neons. some of my favs are terry fiddler, terry brockie, fred fox, jr laplante. one of my new favs, is a teen boy who recently went into mens, eli snow.

Mad props to all *Tradish* dancers. . .no matter what style or age catagory, they all still got it going on. . . .

I only seen Dana Warrington dance one weekend but, that eye popper sure can jam (my opinion)

But. . .

Pat Moore
Orlando Ike (reppin Omaha Nation)
Mike Wolf (my bro reppin Omaha Nation also)
Bear Roberts
Rueben LittleHead
Beaver Hamilton (didnt he use to dance fancy back in the day?)

These are just some names, cant think right now!

But, there was one little boy who caught my eye when i went to Wichita. . .his name is Skylar (cant remember his last name) this little boy is going to give someone some good comp when he gets older. . .better watch out. . .LOL
