Survey On Belt

Just typing a thread to see who prefers the beaded belt to the strap leather belt. I have a strap leather belt with silver conchos on it. Please respond with your comments. I just think I like the leather because it gets to be too much beadwork having cuffs, kneebands, yoke, apron. Thanks and have a great time dancing this powwow season.

I use a beaded belt(woman's tradish) I think the leather belt with conchos looks more masculine to me, so I would stick with it. I do however like the way a beaded belt looks on a grass dancer.

My belt is beaded. I have seen some concho belts that looked good. And a belt that had mirrors on it that was pretty cool too. There are lots of options out there, tacks, beaded, conchos, mirrors, etc. I think it all depends on the look you are going for and how it matches the rest of your outfit that matters.

I like both types of belts.

Some dancers have so much on and so much tied to the belt that you can't even see the belt so for them just plain strap leather should be used.

And not trying to be funny, but some of us have "dun lop" disease and our belts can't really be seen either so strap leather is fine for that reason too!

Well I think both belts are awesome. I have a leather belt with silver conchos cause that was all i could afford (college will realy suck you dry)
