Bustle Problem

I've been having trouble with the number of glass beads to put between each feather. How many beads or any different ways do yall have for secondary lace on your bustle.
Thanks

I'm no expert, but in my opinion it depends on the width of the feathers. I wanted minimal overlap, so I used 5 beads, except on the bottom center feathers where I used 8. Check in the archives, I think I asked the same question when I was working on my bustle. ALso talk with other traditional dancers in your area. Good luck

sometimes ya just gotta string it up, take it apart, string it up, take it apart, etc. depending on the feather you may have 1 more or 1 less bead. it wakes a while to get it to look right. unless you have a good feather source and can make one of those super full trad bustles that is as solid as a wall.
