Did You Know?
There is a difference between a Crow Hop and a Foot Slide.....
Many announcers ask for a Crow Hop..And get a Foot Slide..Although the original is the Double Beat or the Crow Hop....originated among the Crow people. There is a difference....In the beat and the style....A Northern Traditional Dancer who hits the Foot Slide right on is Edmund Tate. Sure there are others, but Edmund is good. Something that was recently revealed to me is the Crow Hop or Double Beat is not appropriate for the Chicken Dance.... |

Help me understand if I'm wrong.......but it seems that you are using the names crow hop and double beat for the same dance....... am I right? I thought the crow hop and double beat are two different dances. Am I taking that wrong?

I'm still cornfuseled.
 Something in my brain is not clicking. I'll try again. The crow hops I'm used to have a whole different way of beat and dancing than the double beat. To me there is nothing similar about them. The crow hop I know is more.... boomp.. boomp.. boomp.. boomp.. and the double beat is more boompboomp..boompboomp.. I know........ I know........best I can do over the net.
