at a powwow, what is the proper way to ask a drum if it is ok to record them?

Most guys wont mind. (at least the ones I have asked) I even buy a cd or 2 from them if they have them on hand, if not I give them a 10 or 20.

if they want a copy i will make it for them, no one has asked yet, why would they want one anyway? its them!

Or go up and introduce one self . thats just being a huge fan of grandpa. and the new chiefs that travel. Record Them all once or don't record at all
