does smoking help singers sing better(northern or southern)?
i heard that something about the tobacco helps the voice. is that true?

it helps your health also!

i guess it depends on the person, if i smoked id be dead in 5 mintues from coughing. i cant even be around people who do smoke. i can usually deal with it but sometimes youget that person who just stinks like a dirty ashtray even when he isnt smking.

i can smell smokers when they walk into a room from 20 feet away.

stick with warm tea and lemon. dont drink cold stuff. keep your neck covered in the cold months.

id rather have a decent voice for a longer time than a great voice and end up with some kind of oral cancer.

I was taught that tobacco is sacred to our people and should be used for offerings and ceremonies. People who do smoke habitually, it is important that they try to keep their minds on good things while smoking because while smoking, your thoughts are the prayers being sent to Creator. Imagine all the people out there smoking and thinking bad thoughts. No wonder things are so messed up. Habitual smoking is not good for you. It puts a strain on every system of your body. Our polluted environment puts enough strain on our bodies, no need to put more strain on it by smoking.

is a pack of smokes REALLY the tobacco you should be offering to people or is it just a scam to get people to give you a pack of smokes?

Uhhh......yep. Pack of smokes or canna chew is the norm. I know a local mechanic guy that will pretty much fix yer car for a pack of smokes...................and a six pack of Miller!!

Sayma smoking is only good when used properly if not you miss use it it is no good. everything has 2 sides to it you see and when used for good it can help but when used in the worng way it can hurt. Just like medicine too much can hurt or kill you sounds like what they say about sayma, because sayma is medicine.

Its just that I dont like being the ENABLER.

When you see an elder who can barely speak and you offer him a smoke....it just seems wrong even if it is the right thing to do.
