Is "FE H2O" (Iron Water) still around? They use to jam back in the day... Haven't heard em in awhile. Yep, the bros from Rocky Park & Red Horse can jam... HOKA BOYZ, MAKE EM DANCE!

Others that used to crank out tunes were White Ridge and the original Dine Nation. Sun Eagle is back on the trail (took first place at ASU a couple of years ago) and Southern Outlawzz is hitting it big time as well. Forgot about Atsa Butte, those boyz can jam with their cool sounding drum! |

I'll say, WhiteRidge ,Shadow Prey and Iron Water, they were the ones that got us in the game. Thanks guys, for your songs and encouragements, without you, we would've never made it this far. Aho.

White Eagle and Sun Eagle were the first few Navajo drum groups that composed songs with Navajo lyrics. Today, many Navajo groups are coming up with beautiful songs for veterans, elders, children and dancers of all persuasions. Rocky Park has a bunch of songs for veterans that are so unique. A lot of that is attributed to the fact that many of the singers are themselves veterans or have relatives and friends who are currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. It takes a combat veteran to know the hardships that one goes through to be a soldier in a conflict area and in direct combat zones.
