TBZ/YB..No.Cree/YB

Midnite Express and Youngbird goes down in history as an all time duo.Bear Creek and SizzorTail is musse'. The other two are classics just to have on deck to keep any collection complete.

Interesting question. The answer to this question is always subjective. Now who you feel is the better drum is a more reasonable question because many here don't understand the concepts of the art of recording a drum for CD duplacation. You can have a killer drum live on the powwow circuit but their CD sounds dead. The opposite may also apply. Sound quality of a CD is dependant on the audio recording gear used and the engineer at the controls.

Our drum CDs are harder to record properly then a rock band. You can't isolate the drum from the singers. You have to capture the take "as is". You can't multitrack a drum so the engineer and his recording gear has to be set up perfectally to capture the sound the first time. You can't use scratch vocals on a track and add good vocals later. The feeling just isn't there for the singers singing on headphones to a drum track previously recorded. It doesn't work that way with our drums! The engineer must know his stuff around one of our drums. Most studio engineers don't have a clue as how to capture the sound correctly. Recording our drums is a very specalized type of recording. There is a large techenical and social end to our drums that most audio engineers don't understand.

So all in all, the sound you hear from that CD is subjective!

Ken

northern cree went through with youngbird already. it was pretty nice. even before that was thee best ever northern southern combo.. youngbird with the boys. both drums were sooo stacked and deep. just stare at liner notes and check out TBZ line up before it all went down. this cd is way cooler and original than the rest and should be given alot of credit. hella nice songs from beginning to end.
