Myself comparing drums is kind of stupid to me, i mean everyone has thier own sound, diffrent songs, own styles you know. i just wanted to know what you all think about the subject.

When you say compare are you talking about contests or just everyday comparisons?

Pow Wow drum groups make music, and with any genre of music each individual is going to have their favorites and those they don't care for. I'm a big fan of country music and my faves are Garth Brooks, the late Chris LeDoux, and Toby Keith. While many like Tim McGraw, I'm not a fan. I'll admit he is good as the rest in voice and technical "stuff", I just don't care for his songs. The same holds true for pow wow music. There are some groups I love, and some groups that - although they may be technically better than my favorites - I just don't care for.

Comparisons are natural...just be nice about them.

Like singer dad said, comparison is a natural human reaction.

In reality, on any given weekend, a "average" drum may be "Krewed Up" and have a few "good voices" from other good drums.

Whereas, a so called "top drum group" may have only come with a few singers to represent.

This situation may influence how you remember a drum group when a comparison is made.

Think about it.
