It's not about who's the best, it's about who makes'em dance, who makes your foot tap, who's CD you buy because your spending your hard earned money on that freedom, that spirit, that tradishness.

But I'm from Mandaree, born and raised and they truly have that spirit that makes us who we are, I love dancing to'em.

They have sooooo sooooo many songs, they should have more CD's out, so we'll see. They are truly some old vets so give them a big smile or a hearty handshake, cause they above all else that's powwow...make'em dance.

ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT THE OLD MANDAREE OR ARE YOU REFERRING TO THE PRESENT DAY DRUM HOPPING WANNABEES THAT MISTER USES. 99% OF THE TIME, MISTER IS THE ONLY ONE FROM MANDAREE AND NONE OF THEM CAN SING HIDATSA. DR, BILL IS NO LONGER HERE. R.I.P.

Yes its true coupcounter49....Mister is Mandaree, but what you fail to realize is that the singers that he picks up to sing with him, are always the sames ones over and over. I know for a fact the My grandpa Dr.Bill used to pick up singers all over where he went,and he'd win singing contest reguardless with his so called drum hoppers. But he and Mister have a ear for good singers, respected singers. Today on the powwow trail...there aren't no true drums no more, its all about money and winning. Case in tell...Eya bay....that wasn't the real Eya Bay in Morongo, nor was the the Original Midnight Express...Where was Opi? I saw Ted Noon singing with Battle River, is he a drum hopper now? Can you tell me that coupcounter49? Since ur the all mighty powwow god with all knowledge, that you claim you are. Why don't you talk about all of them, or are you just jealous of Mandaree, since Mister never picks YOU up to sing. Eyabay, Midnight, and Ted, I mean no disrespect to all of you, but I just want to let this Jealous,disrespecting, know it nothing, loser, who has nothing better to do with his time than slander names and reputations of others for his own low life self enjoyment, know that each and every drum out there has picked up a singer now and then, and for him to shut that whole on his face and quit talking shyt! And when I see you, (since i know who you are now) don't expect a warm powwow welcome around Mandaree's drum you two face loser.

yee-haw, let me see, I had to check out the haters other posts when I saw these but I have a guess.. Old dude, likes Eyabay & BR, doesn't like Midnite or the Boys, can't stand Crow, seems to be a participant in some long ago grudge and took a side-when it wasn't any of his business, probably lives in Mpls or has close ties to that community, travels mostly in ND and SD... P.S.J. would be my guess.

Many good Singers on that list, Sang with most of them at one time, All good, too many good groups young and old was too hard to pick with the our crew on that list, So I had to pick the old Kingbirds Sounded tough in 98,

I LUV Battleriver & Mandaree! WOOHOO! Those Canadian drum groups are sweet too.................. LUV to hear the women back-up singers too. YEAH!

those are a lot of very good groups..........but what about crooked lake,ndn nation,eagle whistles,kingbirds(ol' dawgs),old agency,muskwachees.............there is too many to name
