Tribal officials bless new Tulsa arena Bookmark and Share

Tulsa, Oklahoma (AP)

With pots of burning coals and cedar and giant eagle feathers to waft the smoke, officials from four American Indian tribes prayed in their Native languages to bless Tulsa’s BOK Center before a grand opening was held for the new arena.

Tribal officials stood at the building’s four compass points and offered their blessings to ensure the arena’s long-term success.
