Iowa sues to bar Ponca Tribe casino in Carter Lake
Des Moines, Iowa (AP)
The Iowa attorney general’s office filed a lawsuit Aug. 22 challenging the construction of a casino in Carter Lake by the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska. The attorney general is asking a federal judge to overturn a decision by the National Indian Gaming Commission approving a gaming ordinance submitted by the Ponca Tribe. |
