Policy Forum creates new vision for future of New Mexico Indian affairs

Albuquerque, New Mexico (ICC)

Led by Indian Affairs Cabinet Secretary Alvin Warren, a historic meeting took place recently at the Route 66 Casino, which opened an important new chapter in the chronicle of New Mexico Indian Affairs.

With leadership present from the Indian pueblos, nations, tribes, the Indian Affairs Commission, state agencies, universities, non-profit organizations, and the private sector, the 2008 Tribal Policy Forum focused on four high-priority topics: Indian Health; Government-to-Government Relations; Infrastructure; and Economic Development.

The meeting was led by Indian affairs of new Mexico and they were discussed the state universities and many other topics .Ron Shutiva,New Mexico Department of Transportation Tribal Liason and former Governor of Acoma Pueblo and there staff are good to there leadership for to support the Indian Affairs department.The main Object is to reach goals in four priority areas.
