Friday asks for appeals court review in eagle case

Cheyenne, Wyoming (AP) eagle-case-.gifA Northern Arapaho man who killed a bald eagle for use in his tribe’s Sun Dance has asked the entire 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to review the May decision by a court panel that he must stand trial on a misdemeanor charge. Winslow Friday, 23, filed a petition asking all 12 active judges on the appeals court to review the decision by the three-judge panel. Such full court review, called an en banc hearing, is rarely granted. |
