Family ambition drives Nebraska mother to degree

Wayne, Nebraska (AP) Marguerite Cortez has an immense hunger for success. It’s a good thing, because she’s had a lot on her plate the past few years. Cortez, a Sioux City native and member of the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska, graduated May 3 with honors with a degree in early childhood education. |
