Drunken driver guilty of involuntary manslaughter
Great Falls, Montana (AP)
A man who was driving drunk when he crashed his truck on the Fort Belknap Reservation, killing one of his passengers, was found guilty May 1 of involuntary manslaughter. A jury deliberated for less than an hour in District Court in Great Falls before reaching a verdict. Kenneth Helgeson, a resident of the reservation, faces up to six years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 when he is sentenced Aug. 18. |
