Navajo police chief placed on paid leave over ‘internal matter’

Albuquerque, New Mexico (AP) The Navajo Nation’s chief of police was placed on paid leave during mid-April, but tribal officials wouldn’t say why. Police Chief Jim Benally declined to comment. |
