Students make pottery like American Indians did

Tucson, Arizona (AP) After weeks spent in classrooms studying Indian tribes, Harelson Elementary School fourth-graders retreated from their classrooms to walk where the Hohokam tribe lived some 1,500 years ago. Harelson’s visit to Catalina State Park – once home to the Hohokam tribe – wrapped up a six-week lesson recently by all three of the fourth-grade classes at the school. |
