American Indian tribes, state settle gambling revenue dispute

Lansing, Michigan (AP) Michigan officials announced the settlement of a long-running dispute with two American Indian tribes over the portion of gambling revenues paid to the state. The new deal announced by Gov. Jennifer Granholm with the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians and the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians will pump millions of dollars into funds used to boost economic development in the state. |
