Las Vegas companies want Wyandotte, Sumner casino contracts

Topeka, Kansas (AP) Two Las Vegas companies applied during late December for the state's permission to build casinos in the Kansas City area and south of Wichita. Golden Gaming Inc. is proposing a $700 million hotel-and-casino complex near Kansas Speedway. It was the first prospective developer for a Wyandotte County casino to file an application with the Kansas Lottery, but Lottery officials expect three more. The Lottery also received an application from Marvel Gaming for a $390 million complex along the Kansas Turnpike at its Wellington exit. Marvel was the fourth applicant for a Sumner County casino. |
