United Tribes president asks board to drop nickname
Bismarck, North Dakota (AP)
The president of United Tribes Technical College is again asking North Dakota’s Board of Higher Education to drop the University of North Dakota’s Fighting Sioux nickname. The board was meeting in Bismarck. Board members were given a letter from United Tribes President David Gipp, asking them to make plans to get rid of the nickname. |
