Federal regulators to probe Lucky Star casinos
Concho, Oklahoma (AP)
Federal Indian gaming regulators plan to conduct an investigative audit of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes to determine how the tribes have spent an estimated $50 million from their three casinos. The examination by the National Indian Gaming Commission will begin Jan. 8, according to a letter sent to the tribe by the federal agency’s audit director, The Oklahoman reported. Regulators want an accounting of the estimated $2 million to $2.5 million monthly profit produced by the Lucky Star casinos at Concho and Clinton. The tribe operates a third smaller casino, the Feather Warrior Casino at Watonga. |
