Graham's trial in 1975 AIM slaying reset for June 17

The second man charged with the 1975 slaying of an American Indian Movement activist will stand trial in Rapid City (South Dakota) starting June 17th after his first date of February 12th was set back another four months. John Graham was extradited from British Columbia duirng December, four years after he was charged with killing fellow AIM member Anna Mae Pictou Aquash on the Pine Ridge Reservation during December 1975. Graham pleaded not guilty in federal court in Rapid City to first-degree murder. The other man charged, Fritz Arlo Looking Cloud, was convicted in 2004 and given a mandatory life prison sentence.
