Dishonorable Flag Protocol
I read this artical in the 'Southern Ute Drum'. I agree with Mr. Box on this decision. My sister is in the military and it hurt to know that they no longer will be flying the US flag. The Southern Ute Rez is not my part of woods, but they are dishonoring their elder warriors.
----------------------------------------------------------- as writen in the southern ute drum 'I am very disturbed by finding out our American flag will no longer be flown on the Southen Ute Reservation. Why? I would like to know who is responsible for this decision. We should all be pround to be American Indians. Our warriors have fought for their Homeland under the red, white, and blu flag. America is #1 thanks to our Veterans- The flag wasn't earned to be burned! Don't dishonor our veterans by dishonoring America's hard-won synbol of Liberty. Anything that was bad or not good was #10 in Vietnamese language; The Vietnam Veterans will know what I mean by this statement. Lets fly it high above the Colorado and the Ute tribal flags.'
