Native Music Source - Native American music radio and shop

So I was at a local music store the other day, and I was looking through the used CDs, and I came across several different CDs by a band called "Northern Cree".
I picked up an album by them that was called "Still Rezin" and looked at the back of it.
As the name suggests, they're a group of Cree men from Canada.
Apparantly they play both traditional and modern Native music, and compose their own songs.
Anybody familiar with them?

98% of the people who powwow have heard of Northern Cree.

They've got some kickass CDs!

I bet there are a lot of people on here who know them personally.

Was it an actual vinyl album? If it is, I'll buy it from you!

Seems that only we the people have heard them... where you been this whole time that you never heard of them before!!!!
Mind you up here in the Great White North we hear them a lot more eh!! LOL

Yeah, you gotta say "Northern Cree" or "THE Northern Cree" (like THEE - meaning the one and only).

I wouldn't be surprised if you were the only one on Powwows.com that HASN'T heard of them.

I mean according to the poll.

No, I only saw Northern Cree albums on CDs there.
But I didn't look in the reccords section.
The place sells about as many reccords as they do CDs, so I wouldn't bet against them having a copy of a reccord by them.
They were charging fifteen bucks for used Northern Cree CDs, so I didn't get one.
(since they're not part of a chain, they can buy whatever they want)
I might go back tomorrow, and check it out.

Which album of theirs would you reccomend?

proud to say i got almost everything they ever put out lol. if u dig around in canyon records closet youll find some older stuff.

seems like they put out a pw cd and a rounddance cd every year and i cant remember any of them suckin. buy it and learn it lol

I agree with injunboy... you can't go wrong with Northern Cree, I haven't heard anything that sucked from them. Show time is a good CD with round dance songs!!
