Cozad Singers

Does anyone know of an official Cozad Web site or place where I can get information? I've searched, but can only come up with a few articles here and there.

I'm interested in learning more about the family and the meaning of the songs in "California Powwow." I love that album.

But if you have an oppurtunity to catch up with then at a Powwow, you'll find they are very good people to sit and visit with....I'd suggest you sit with em and share a coffee or two...A good way to get to know folks...

Some of those songs sung on that recording aren't Cozad Family compositions. Some are Ponca songs, others were composed by Pawnee's and other Kiowa Tribal members.

just fyi....as the liner notes indicate that those songs were all compositions by Leonard Cozad, SR. While, he was an adept and talented song maker....it's only fair to give credit where credit is due.....to the other tribal groups whose songs they were singing.

Coyot_In_The_House - That's a good idea. Thanks.

Mr. Bo Jangles - I'll keep that in mind...I don't own the physical CD, however. I get all of my music from iTunes.
