HOOO-LAYY!!...IS THERE NO END!!....
My wife tells me the word "Namaste"is a Hindu Greeting!!Used by people from India(kind of a greeting/blessing). Spoke to my Sister, who is half Dine'from Tuba, and she tells me the term for walking in beauty is "Hozho",and that this encompasses all that is good in Dine' culture....beauty,harmony,and balance, and that many traditional Dine' take these things very seriously,so for this "woman"to use terms that have nothing to do with the Dine',Cherokee,or any other NDN people is a slap in the face to all that hold these values sacred....i wish that would stop, for real....keep smilin'1 P.s....Thanks to Deb and my sis Wolfie for their info. and insight. |

Wiki tells me namaste is a hindu/indian greeting. Someone should tell this lady dat's da wrong kind of indian. Aye, its columbus all over again.
*uber sigh* I've had it up to here wit peepuls taking the Cherokee name for their own perverted use. Someone needs to make up a new tribal name that these peepul can play make-believe wit... perhaps a tribe that exists in their "plane" lol The all-knowing wiki has also informed me that "Nokomis is the name of Nanabozho's grandmother in the Ojibwe traditional stories and was the name of Hiawatha's grandmother in Longfellow's poem, The Song of Hiawatha, which is a re-telling of the Nanabozho stories." Wow, um, Ojib... that's pretty far off from Dine'. Not only is she a phony... but she's a stupid phony 'cos even a monkey can do a google/wiki search.

There are 2 idiots on there not just one. Did anyone read the other parts of it. They are asking for donations for their "spiritual" workshops. These two are way out there in my opinion. One is in TN and the other is in GA.

In Kickapoo Nokomith just means grandma. So Nokomis is probably the Ojib version of grandma...

Outershell---that's my whole problem with this and so many others like it. That actually innocent people will believe this and send her money, but not so much the money as they will go to her for help or knowledge that she can't give them and then they go out a tell others and then there is a big mess and alot of mis-infomation out there floating around. Not like there isn't enough now, we sure don't need anymore.
Wow, the messes that these kind of things have caused. They are very hurtful to people. |
