Need Cherokee Language Help
It is one of the sad facts of our native culture that our languages are dying with each generation. I've been studying cherokee and need a little help. primarily i have a gramatical question about how to phrase something. if i was going to say i belonged to the bear clan, how would it be written, either in english or cherokee? bear is yonah, but i can't find a definite word for clan. also, how does the possesive work with it? I am hoping someone out there can help me out. thanks to anyone offering assistance.
