I was watching that and wondering exactly what was asked. Ok we got an appology, but what are they going to do besides put words on paper.

Hopefully fund the IHS bill it's attached to?

I agree it's just more words on paper (and sound bites in the ether), but change has to start somewhere. An apology doesn't bring back the dead or change the wrongs that were done. Acknowledging that wrongs were (and are being) done could open a path to actually -doing something- to correct the future.

the reporter said of course they have not apologized to the blacks for slavery

I forgot to tell my husband about this the other night when I read about it somewhere on here. I thought he was going to spew coffee through his nose this morning when he heard that on the news. If adding that gets the IHS bill passed, it's tolerable. I wonder what else is hiding in that bill though?
