Indian students raise $4K to help needy families

Indian high school students on the Blackfeet Reservation in Montana have raised $4,000 to help needy families for the holidays.

The seniors at Browning High School donated $2,000 of their own money. The rest they raised through bake sales and other methods.

With the money, the students buy gifts for families and children. The students worked with the tribal housing authority and welfare office to identify 15 to 20 families.

That sounds down right Native American! To have people come together and support the less fortunate is so awesome! Our Tribe supports families by program to program who pick a ornament from the tree that have the ages and genders of the children along with the adults, and we each gave from our family counseling program a basket for a family of 7, along with gifts for the kids. The committee that sponsors this kool venture is the employees club. When everyone comes together, things get done! Good Job Blackfeet Kids.....
