Support the American Indian Film Festival
Hello everyone~
I just wanted to give inform everyone on the 30th Annual American Indian Film Festival in San Francisco. My name is Cindy and I am doing the Festival's publicity work. I will be in attendance on Nov. 9 till the end of the festival. To start off I know all of you guys are giant supporters for Native actors and films. I knew this would be the best place to publicize ad spread the word on the festival. I would love for all of you to attend and support this wonderful festival. I've enclosed the general press release and it includes information about the Festival and ticket prices. I will enclose two more press releases on separate subjects so that it doesn't look disorganized and overloaded. Their website is being updated almost everyday so check the website every so often. PRESS RELEASE San Francisco, CA - The celebrated Annual American Indian Film Festival, presented by the American Indian Film Institute (AIFI), kicks off its 30th year on November 5th , 2005. As the nation’s most dominant outlet for Native American films, the American Indian Film Festival features ground- breaking films and documentaries of USA American Indians and Canada First Nation communities. The Film Festival will take place in San Francisco and run for eight days from November 5th through the 12th at two select theatre venues. The UA Galaxy Theatre will hold screenings from November 5- 9th and The Palace of Fine Arts from November 10 -12th. The American Indian Film Festival will showcase over 66 films, documentaries, and shorts including 4 highly successful independent feature films with an expected audience of 5, 000. The American Film Institute’s (AIFI) Tribal Touring Program, a Native youth film workshop, supported by the James Irvine Foundation and tribal host partners will also be screening its culturally enriched films Nov. 10 at the Palace of Fine Arts. Live Native entertainment will be performed on the American Indian Motion Picture Awards Show which will be a two night event with fourteen prestigious film awards to be presented.
