For the Ladies to Talk

ok ladies, we all get pms to some degree or another, but my question is do you get cravings? of so, what do you crave??

me - i can go for chocolate or popcorn. if there was fried bread around, i would go for that.

...dang anything i get my hands on.....my mom is the same way mosty carbs...i also get crazy...psycho mood swings...im on omega3-6-9 and evening primrose oil..and a female once a day vit...it helps....a little lol

I have a wierd craving, I always want sandwiches. Like Subs or even just a really good sandwich on square bread. When i was pregnant I craaved red grapefruit and hot dogs with white cheese and chili and onions and mustard. Still like those but hate grapefruit and did B4 I was pregnant too. the only other thing I can think of right now is taco's.

Me to I get mood swings 2 and what sucks is I don't care how mean I get that's how bad the mood swings get.
No wonder I'm single!
But once I get what I'm craving I'm usually ok for a while. My sis will come out of hideing.

me thinks that when its time for pms or pregnancy or moontime, atkins is out the door, so is most diets during that time.

There is a physiological basis for these cravings. Prior to the beginning of moontime serotonin levels are decreased. Foods high in carbs increase serotonin levels by a mechanism that is not yet clear.

Interesting............. so would taking serotonin help with this? What about the b vitamins. What can we do to wipe PMS off the face of the earth???

Thats what Zoloft and Prozac are, so why do they have weight gain as a side effect??

nope... no "PMS" here.... haven't experienced it in many years.... and then only when I wasn't on the pill... which was only a short time... can't recall any cravings associated with it then
