A Project!
During the May 9th Gathering for Leonard Peltier.
It came to me that either many have forgotten or just do not know about Leonard, the true purpose of AIM or the plight of the American Indian community at large. I've gotten word from a few people that our efforts to get real Native people on Real Native shows on Network TV maybe paying off. In Fact, there are supposedly a couple things(possible pilots) in the works for this or next season. So everyone please keep your letters going. This is a new project to add to the many that we have asked for everyone to join in on. We at A.I.I. are asking that YOU send a letter similar to the one I have written and sent below to the addresses listed at the bottom. The email addy's are set in such a way that all you have to do is copy then paste them in your BCC space; in the regular address space just put the addy of a friend. Please send your letters & pass this on and help us spread the word about Leonard Peltier. The more people who rent the movie, the more people we can get to join us to FREE him and others wrongly jailed for being no more than American Indian. Hello, I, my friends and family have been members of Blockbuster for sometime now. I am American Indian and feel that you have more American Indian customers than you realize. There are over 30 million of us Nationwide. There are 40,000 in the Baltimore City area alone. Not to mention all of the non-native people in the world who can't get enough Real Native movies. My main reason for this letter is simple, I have checked all the Blockbuster Video stores in my area and I can not find one that carries the movie "Incident At Oglala". This was a Robert Redford backed film that has gotten much acclaim since it's release many years ago. I believe that if your company would put just one DVD copy of this movie in your new release section of your stores. I honestly think you could make a huge profit, as well as give your interested Native customers a chance to see a true American Indian Story. A few other dvd's from Native directors & producers would be appreciated too. Sincerely, A Long Time Customer, Thomas Greywolf These are the addy's to send your letters to: john.antioco@blockbuster.com, larry.zine@blockbuster.com, edward.stead@blockbuster.com, nick.shepard@blockbuster.com, frank.paci@blockbuster.com, chris.wyatt@blockbuster.com, eileen.terry@blockbuster.com, investor.relations@blockbuster.com http://groups.yahoo.com/group/American_Indian_Injustice |

Running Out Of Causes?
This is perhaps the silliest appeal I've seen from you. for awhile. Are you just running our of causes or are you as serious as the 40 person mass march on Washington.
Please, as a poster here, told you last month before get someone else to write your "appeals" for you who has spell check and can write a good readable letter. Its hard to be a champion of Native peoples rights if you have this much trouble with standard wrtten English |

I had rented it twice myself probably 10 years ago. When I had gone back about a year ago, it was no longer in their documentary section. But I checked and Blockbuster does carry alot of Native movies online, but probably not so much in their stores. You could just sign up for their online DVD rentals. |
