Cree documentary won the first prize in Montreal film festival

The Cree documentary called "One More River" has won the first prize in the film festival held in Montreal.

The documentary which is filmed by Rezolution Pictures and directed by Neil
Diamond and Tracey Deer has made it BIG TIME. This very powerful documentary
about the "Paix de Brave" or "AIP" tells the truth about what was not shown
to the public. News articles portrayed the agreement as an agreement that
was hailed as a victory by the Cree leaders and was well accepted by all
Cree. This documentary proves otherwise.

The camera takes you on a journey from the first time dams were built in
Cree territory, to the cree party scene, to the cree political world, and to
the ones who openly opposed the AIP. Awesome viewing and very powerful. A
must see for all.

The documentary will be aired on APTN March 26, 2005, 7:00pm and April 26,
2005, 7:00pm

The Paix de brave agreement is an agreement that promises great amounts of
money and more promises by the Quebec Government for the release and
destruction of a major pristine river, pristine forests, and pristine
mountains.

The Sociological effects of development and dependancy of these agreements
have proven to be devastating to the Cree, but [are] still denied.
