The program is offered to Native Americans and provides homeownership opportunities throughout Indian Country in the United States. The program was developed specifically for Native Americans seeking homeownership opportunities on fee simple land in an Indian area, on Tribal Trust Land, or on individually allotted land on a reservation. What's the address to this site? I've been wanting to look into this program. I think this program is new to our Housing Loan Officer. She just started working with it this past year, so I haven't heard anything about the program. Thanks for any help you can give me on the address.

i got this info from hud site ... just type in hud and go to the site , i went into home improvement loans , then home improvement loans for native americans ... let me know if you have any problems.

Umm okay so is it just for improving your current house you live in to like rebuild it or to make improvements to your existing home? or is it an actual like first time buyers type a deal??

yeah gurl ... FHA , but yeah i got my house already... but now it needs some fixing ... ha ha ha ha! hey u know you can borrow ya closing cost, that's what i did and with the FHA loan you pay i think 3% down... shoot i even got money back , so i ended up only putting like 1300.00 down.

Yeah but what I understand with the Section 184 loans is that your tribe has to be a participating tribe with ONAP. And also to get the loans, your tribe must have had you sign a land lease for 50 years.
I know we were looking into this program but I haven't started bringing it to council yet so see how we can implement it. It seems to be a good program tho
