Ron Gibson
Ron Gibson has lost his battle with diabetes. He passed on yesterday.
He'll be missed around the drum! If others know details about the funeral and services, please post those.

 Yes, he will be missed. He ans his wife Judy were some of the nicest people I've ever met and always encouraged me to dance. RIP

Mr. Gibson was a very good man, and, a very good friend. He always would call my wife sweetie when ever he saw her. He will be GREATLY missed. If anyone has any info, please pass it along.

Ron will always be a friend here and hereafter.
We have shared a lot of good visits on the powwow trail.

I will miss Ron very much, he was a very good man. He and his wife Judy are good friends of mine. I learned from them and they were always very encouraging. Most of all I will miss his smile and his wisdom.
I'll never forget when he consoled my daughter when she cried over the loss of another elder. He said he was told by his elders not to continue to cry or it would hold the spirit here. Let the spirit crossover so that they could be young and happy again.

Just got word the wake is 7pm on Thursday nite at the Walker house in Meeker, the Funeral is 10am on Friday at the Walker house and the cemetery is at the house, phone number is 405-996-9778 the house is called Loretta Walkers place.

Man this hit like a ton of bricks...
Ron was a good man that I respected a lot and an elder to me in a lot of ways, both as a Sawanawa and a singer... He will be missed by a lot of people I know... I'm just glad I got the chance to know him... My thoughts and prayers are with Judy and the family... Paselo ne-kana... we'll see each other again...

I just got this news later in the day and tried to reach as many folks as I could - my heart hurts for everyone who new them - Judy and Ron were dedicated to each other - that was for sure. I will keep Judy in my prayers, along with their families.

So one night we're sitting around the campfire and Ron pulls out his drum, looks at me with that little smile and says, "We're gonna call the wind". Sure nuff, in just a little while, the tops of the trees start moving.
You'll be missed Ron My prayers go out to Judy.
