There will be a Memorial Dance held on May 20th, 2006 at the Cherokee Nation Powwow Grounds in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Please join the family as they celebrate the lives of these two wonderful and special people.


Several contests will be sponsored by friends and families of the Chanates:

Mens Straight, Mens Fancy, Mens No. Traditional, Mens/Junior Boys Grass

Womens Bucksin, Womens Jingle, Womens Fancy Shawl,

The above listed categories will have a pay-out of the following: 1st - $300.00, 2nd - $200.00, 3rd - $100.00




There will also be a womens cloth contest (Winner takes all)



There will be a Junior Girls Jingle and Junior Girls Fancy Shawl contests with the following pay-outs: 1st - $150.00, 2nd - $100.00, 3rd - $50.00



Agenda: 2:00 Gourd Dancing, 5:00 Supper Break, 6:00 Gourd Dancing, 7:00 Grand Entry/Intertribal/Contest

All dancers must be in the Grand Entry to be eligible to compete in the contests.
