Smokin' Ace

In great sadness I am posting this information.

A dear friend, Shirley Crumley, passed away suddenly on April 4, 2006.

Most Natives that have worked in the business knew Shirley. She worked in movies all of her adult life, with her first movie being Roots and was honored to have worked on Ray, Walking The Line in the last few years. I was able to visit with her while she was filming Ray in New Orleans 2 years ago, while I was down there performing at the Jazz Festival - we just happened to be at the same place at the same time, and our schedules were such that we could not visit on the sets, but the dance troupe and I was ablet to meet her for - it was a good thing.

She worked tiredlessly on Last of the Mohicans - I met her on the set of Broken Chain, she went on to work on Geronimo, Follow the River and many many more.

I am still a little in shock over this news - but did want to at least post the information here for all to see.

RIP Shirley Fulton Crumley - you touched more lives than you will ever know.
