Luis Bonet of the Lakota Nation suffered a severe heart attack on March 4 and will be removed from life support on Tuesday, March 7. Luis and his family have for years served the native community. Many people know him through sweat lodge ceremonies held on his property in Little Rock, California.

Luis's family, extended family and friends have been with him at Pacifica Hospital of the Valley in Sun Valley, California since the heart attack Saturday morning. He is in ICU. Your thoughts, prayers and phone calls are welcome.

Ceremonies and family requests will be made known when the time is appropriate. The Bonet family has touched many, many lives over the last years and they are known to many people. Please feel free to pass this message on to those who may not yet know. It is impossible to contact everyone who has been a part of their circle.

Bonet has sufferd from a host of medical problems over the last decade. There is very little hope for any sort of recovery, although the hospital staff has chosen to keep him on life support for a full 72 hours in the event that there is some sign of brain activity this morning. As as Monday, March 6, there was none.
