Jay Harrison passing on.
He was the lead singer of the drum group called Northern Exposure of Southern California. He was originally from Browning Montana and was a member of the Blackfeet Tribe. I was very fortunate to have been friends with jay , he loved the life of singing and powwows. The one high light of our friendship was when he would ask me for word songs and the finer points on dancing.

The ole Jay bird will be missed that is for sure. At least he will be with his wife now, cause lord knows he has missed her.

I'm sorry to hear about Jay. I met him through Jr. Tofpi who thought the world of Jay. Jay had a very good sense of humor and happy outlook on life.
May Jay be able to sing and enjoy life in the next world!

I did not know him personally, but anytime we loose a singer here, it is surely heaven's gain...
Will keep his family along with his drum in my prayers... thanks for posting this information.

Jay has been a dear friend to my family & I for years, geez back in my younger years in So. Cal. He will be dearly missed. I know hes in a better place with his mom Lea. Does anyone know the services info? We love you Jay......

me and my son mark along with my bro K.C. were likley the last to sing with jay at tule river.I have to say it was hard to see him in his condition but he didn't wan't to go home and rest.I will say that jay loved to sing at powwows and be around friends.he allways took care of me and my family when i was in travel. I WILL MISS HIM... Mario.........
