Rev. Campbell - Vendor, Spiritual Man, Mentor (Lumbee)- has crossed over

In great sadness I learned the Rev. Campbell crossed over last night. He was most known for his exquisite jewelry making on the Trail.

At 10:30 PM, January 13, 2006 Rev. Campbell passed at the hospital.

He has only been "sick" for a few weeks - this was a rapid cancer that took over his body. His precious wife stayed by his side.

ROWLAND — The Rev. Thessely E. “Ted” Campbell, 76, of 588 W. Horne Road, died Friday, Jan. 13, 2006, in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

Services: Funeral, 3 p.m. Tuesday in Revels Funeral Home chapel in Lumberton. Entombment in Fairpoint Baptist Church cemetery.

Visitation: 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Survived by: Wife, Helen; daughters, Sarah Scaggs, Nancy Harris, Betty Dwyer and Brenda; brother, Charlie; sister, Lessie Lewis; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

I am very sorry to hear of Rev.Campbell passing, he will be missed greatly. My sympathy goes out to friends and family.
