A Sorrowful Day For the Red Lake Nation...

I am posting this to offer my condolences for the Red Lake Nation in Minnesota. I am sure all of you have heard on the news of the teen that went on a shooting spree the other day. This surely is a sad time.

If there is anyone from the Red Lake Nation reading this. On behalf of the Catawba Indian Nation in South Carolina, we offer our support and condolences.

May the Great Spirit help hold your heads high and lift all natives hearts to join together and offer support.

My friends and I have connections to people in and around that area - people we value, respect and care for immensely. We're thinking of all of you and praying that you have support and are comforted.

I and my fellow engineers offer our condolences. we will hold a moment of silence and prayer today before we begin our study session.

Like everyone else is sayin...thoughts and prayers frum me and my family in denver. i am very deeply saddened and hopefully not jus red lake nation but natives frum all walks of life will be strong and overcome this tradegy because even tho im not tha same tribe it has hit close to my heart because i kant even imagine the pain n sorrow that they are goin through....

I was deeply sadden to hear about the school tradegy. My prayers are with all the people of Red Lake. I pray healing over the Red Lake community and especially over the whole Indian Nations. We must be more aware of our Indian youth and the trials they face each day.

Let us be in agreement to comfort and support one another.

I cried when I heard about this tragedy. My thoughts and prayers goes out to the victims, their families and the community. I also pray for the soul of the young man who felt he had to do this, and for his family. there are so many young natives out there who are lost or in pain & turmoil, that they turn to other cultures, groups, belief systems, etc. As native parents and grandparents we need to do our part and help our young find themselves. Keep spirituality in the home and teach respect for the sacredness of life. May the Creator bring comfort and healing to the Red Lake Nation.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to to Red Lake, Minnesota. Their sorrows are felt and heard throughout the world. We will remember the names and faces of those who they lost in this tragic event. Take the time, a few seconds wherever you are. to say a prayer for the families and friends.

With that I would like to add, "Please get involved with your children's lives." Know where they are, talk with them, spend time with them. Our eyes are opened by this tragedy. Love your children and live life like there's no tomorrow.

my heart and prayers go out to RED LAKE and all people, and hopefully this tragidy will help us all, meaning, maybe our youths will start treating each other with respect and love, and the adults will love their children and others more. we truly need unity in our communities and we need to all reach out to our troubled people, even if you don't know them directly, do something kind for them. it may make a big difference to some one if we show them love and kindness.
